They Were Never *My* Friends

Am I the only one who is so glad that this show is finally going off the air? I was never a fan. Fact is, I'm skeptical of shows that claim to take place in New York City because they are usually so unrealistic. No one has apartments that big! (And the sofa is never ALWAYS available at the cafe either.) Seinfeld got it the closest for me. Sure, Jerry had a large apartment, but he also paid for it. I remember in one episode George taking an apartment for $2400 a month and thinking that was a good deal. Now, you're talking!

But "Friends." Don't even get me started. What is with their terrace? When they show outside shots of their building it has no outside spaces whatsoever, so whatyoutalkinboutwillis? Not kosher. Like so many things - remember at the beginning when Rachel was Jewish --- and then she wasn't? What's that?

No, I really don't care for this show. But what has been irking me the most is all the coverage this last episode is getting. I mean, who cares? These people are characters on a TV show. Two hours on NBC last night instead of Law & Order? Nah, it just ain't right.
