Look. I don't have a personal beef with Madonna. She's an entertainer - that's what she does. It's her job to titilliate. She's into changing her image and we're all interested for some reason. Look, I'm Asian! Look, I'm Spanish! Look, I'm Indian! Look, I'm Jewish!
That's the one that gets to me.
By now you've heard the reports that The Donna is changing her name to Esther. Well, not formally changing it, but changing it nonetheless (whatever the hell that means). She finds the name to be more true to herself. However, what she doesn't know is that the original OG, (Esther) changed her name from Haddassah to fit in more with the regular folk.
That's what really bugs me about Madonna. She doesn't do her homework! She's all about throwing tefillin in our faces (literally) and causing a ruckus. And can we talk about the yoga poses? We get it, already. You are flexible and can do all the poses that we can't. Our flying crow will never be as good as yours. Again, she just doesn't get it. Yoga isn't about showing off. And either is Judaism. So if you want to change your name, fine, Madonna. But why make such a fuss about it? It sort of takes away from the sanctity of the whole thing. Or is that point?
